NATIONAL SCHOOL BUS SAFETY WEEK
Published by Sharon Shipley on October 12, 2017
.....................................................................................................................................................................................

October 16-20, 2017 is National School Bus Safety Week. Our staff and students are taught to practice safety in all areas of the school, especially on our school buses. This is encouraged not only for the daily rider but those utilizing the school buses for field trips as well. If you see anyone not being safe on the bus please encourage them to do the right thing and be safe. Our community members can do their part by watching for stopped school buses and reporting anyone who fails to stop for them. Stopped school buses are ignored on a daily basis by a large number of drivers. Please do your part and always STOP for a stopped school bus.

Past successes of reading rocks

Our 2017-18 Reading Rocks coin drive officially started on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Each classroom will collect coins in their buckets. The classroom with the most coins will win a pizza party. Each year we participate in Reading Rocks to raise money to purchase new books and materials for our classrooms. All money raised will remain at our school. Last year we raised $7,000 to support our students. Help us beat that amount this year. As always, thank you for your participation and support.

Our school was able to collect close to $1000 last school year all because of you.  If you have any box tops at home or know a friend that will save them for you, bring them in at any time. If you are a member of the community and would like to donate your box-tops, drop them off in the school office. We appreciate all of our parents, staff, students, and family members who save them for us.
