All Cumberland County Schools will be closed on Friday, January 19, 2018. Prime Time will not operate. 

Remember Monday, January 22, 2018, is a makeup day for students. This will be a regular school day for all Traditional Cumberland County Students. See you Monday.

Monday, January 22, 2018, will no longer be a student holiday/teacher workday for our school. We will operate on a regular school day schedule. Students are attending school on this day to make up time missed from school on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, due to inclement weather. Any questions or concerns can be answered by contacting the school office. 

        
END OF SECOND NINE WEEKS–SUCCESS ASSEMBLIES

Report Card in a manila envelopeThe end of the second nine weeks is rapidly approaching. Students will receive their report cards on Friday, January 26, 2018. We will celebrate student successes on the following dates:

  • Monday, January 29, 2018–Kindergarten & First Grade–1:15 p.m.
  • Tuesday, January 30, 2018–Second & Third Grade–1:15 p.m.
  • Wednesday, January 31, 2018–Fourth & Fifth Grade–1:15 p.m.

We invite our parents and other family members to come and help us celebrate all our student successes. We do ask that you remain for the entire assembly. If you have further questions or concerns please contact the school office. 

        
2017-2018 SUPERBOWL SHOWDOWN

It is time once again for our annual Superbowl showdown. We invite boys in grades 3 thru 5 to bring their father or a father figure to an exciting evening. We will start off with dinner and continue with 3 different bonding activities. Don’t miss out on this special time for fathers and sons. Remember: NO GIRLS ALLOWED!! You can wear your favorite football team jersey. Information was sent home during the week of January 8, 2018. All RSVP forms are due to the office no later than January 23, 2018. If you have further questions or concerns, please contact the school office. 

        
MAKE IT STICK PARENT WORKSHOP

Puzzle pieces linking students, parents, and teachers to education.

 

On Wednesday, January 31, 2018, we are inviting third, fourth, and fifth-grade parents to attend a parent workshop. Our presenters will offer reading and math strategies for parents to use to work with their children. They will offer hands-on problem-solving in the content areas the students are currently learning.  Information was sent home with the students. Any parent wishing to attend is asked to fill out and return the RSVP by January 30, 2018. If you need further information please contact the school office. 

        
JR BETA CLUB SPONSOR’S HAT DAY

Assortment of hats. Our Jr. Beta Club will sponsor hat day on Friday, January 26, 2018. Anyone wishing to participate must pay $1 to the club. All money raised will be donated to a community organization. In the past, funds were donated to the Animal Society to help with the cost of feeding the animals. Thanks in advance to all that can participate.

Packaged and prepared foods such as ready-to-eat products or restaurants meals are common sources of sodium. Learn about common sources of sodium. IMPORTANT REMINDERS

Parents, please refer to the following list of reminders concerning student arrival and departure. 

  • Students cannot arrive until 7:15 am
  • Students arriving between 7:15 am and 7:30 am must go to the Cafe’.
  • Regular student drop off is in the back of the school. The front entrance is for EC, Daycares, and Buses only!
  • Please do not leave your car if you are parked in the drop-off/pickup line in front or back of the school.
